1977 – The Foundation of a Vision
During this time, all fertilizers, agrochemicals, and agricultural machinery in Afghanistan were imported and distributed exclusively by the government. These goods were made available to farmers through trained agronomists. Recognizing his dedication and experience in agriculture, the government allocated a retail outlet to Haji Gul Wali, who would later become the Founder and Chairman of Wasim Qahar Co. Ltd. This store served as his first step into the agricultural supply industry.
2002 – Rebuilding and Opportunity
Following the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, international sanctions were lifted and global travel became more accessible. With decades of hands-on experience, Haji Gul Wali began importing small quantities of fertilizers, agrochemicals, and veterinary pharmaceuticals from neighboring countries. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in private sector agricultural services in Afghanistan.
2008 – The Official Establishment
In 2008, the company was officially registered as Wasim Qahar Co. Ltd signaling a new era of professional growth. The company quickly expanded its network and started establishing strong partnerships with renowned multinational corporations around the world. These included:
